Confidence 02:18
She says, "Confidence is sexy" But I would disagree Cuz what she's calling confidence sounds more like deuchery You can stand over 6ft tall and have the biggest dick You can shout with the loudest voice Or carry the biggest stick But thats not confidence! Confidence is knowing just who you really are Never letting the bastards change you Accepting every fucking scar It's standing up to injustice and being bigger than yourself It's realizing that sometimes even you need help Confidence isn't flashy It's not pomp and circumstance It's a quiet inner knowing where things really stand It's knowing that you can't conquer every crown Its knowing when to run and when to settle down It's waking up and fighting through the day Knowing that there's just no other way It's knowing when there's nothing left to say But I got something more to say...

You gotta stand for something or be tossed by every storm So goes the catechism taught to every generation born You gotta marry cis-gendered, have a whole mess of kids You gotta obey all the rules You gotta pay all you taxes Attend a four year university Rack up a lifetime of debt Hush your mouth when the Big Man says "You ain't got no experience" Young ones, dont give up on the system It worked for mom and dad Never mind that when accounting for inflation... Mom and dad were had... By desperados in pin stripe suits and American flag pins on their ties Who claim the door is closed to you and I!
3.
Roundabouts 03:38
Playing cards with the Queen of Diamonds I got numbers on my mind Jack Daniels and the Ghost of John Lennon We're such fools and partners in crime I'm tipping back the bottle to get the last drop Never one to make dollars from dimes Well I know I ain't got what the money man wants So I'll try again some other life Do you see me down? Well, I prayed to Elvis for some blue suede shoes But he never came around Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose Winner or sinner, I don't know what fits But I gotta get my fix Rhinestone soul, I got pain in my present But I'm still trying to escape my past Praying to the gods of fame and fortune I got one hope that this will all last If whiskey and women don't make my grade Then this world can just kiss, kiss, kiss... And it goes...Round and round it goes.

Vino incognita, darling Wont you take a sip with me? Well fly out of this godforsaken foxhole To anywhere that we wanna be Quiet and unassuming We're just lovers on a kick Ill take your invitation If you pack a picnic All we ever had was a dream And dreams are all we've ever needed Besided a little patience, and understanding, ...And vino incognita Waste away a summer a summer night Behind a pinecone curtain We'll watch the sun give out it's last light We'll take along two dixie cups And we'll talk late into the night Do you want romance or danger? I gotta know before I can commit Cuz I could took your invitation But, now I don't think I can handle it!
5.
Get That Way 03:48
Coming of age beside coastal waters Playing three chord songs beuside beach bonfires Learning to breathe deep the salted air Not a day goes by that we dont care We had love or so we thought We never cared if we got caught We never realized how much it cost Our plans and our futures...left to rot You and I weren't meant for a lifetime But while the sun is high We can get that way Get that way If we tune in and tune out Tongues tied on the beach each summer Getting high in the waves ain't a bummer, man! We gotta pack it all in While we still can Lost track of the time and the changing of seasons

Last Night 03:23
You're a legend and a fable? Well, I'm a demi-god of the night Got my own private temples Oh wait...I didn't hear you right! You say you can drink me under the table? Well, it's put up or shut up time Headbanging to our favorite bands I bet you didn't stretch right Well, we'll be feeling it tomorrow But it was worth all the time Spent searching for the fountain of youth Last night only comes once in a lifetime We collect battle scars We compare the wounds we've sustained Like kids with trading cards You can't take back the deal you've made It's a secret society The misfits we call friends When our backs are up against the wall They're there time and again We'll be feeling it tomorrow When our heads are throbbing like the drums Of the bands that we wasted our yourh falling in love with Just to watch them pack it in Last night only comes once in a lifetime (Repeat)

Give In 04:22
A penny for your thoughts pretty darling Did you really think we could conquer the world? Love is a dangerous cliche to visit For a boy and for a girl It's simple to come up with cheap analogies But you're just to brilliant for that This is so much more than slight of hand illusion You always had more taste and tact than that I think I'm always gonna give in... To you Our lines meander and wind unknowing It's hard to find a purpose without planning How long did you have designs for me? It's like trying to find the rhythm in a song We're not looking for fairy tale endings here We know just what it takes before we disappear All we're asking for is just a little goddamn peace in our lives

My leading lady Is kinduva kink type No telling where her mind will go Not in the gutter That implies that something's wrong And I have no complaints in my bones Practice ran late last night Asked my buddy for a ride As we pulled into the drive He could see the bedroom lights were on He asked me, "Whose that car parked outside.. Your aparment this late at night" I gave a little wink and then I replied, "Have a safe trip home!" Well my love and, I we believe That honesty is more important than monogamy Chorus When I came into the house I could hear those moans get louder Right then I made a decision to hang out in the living room 30 minutes later, my best buddy came in with shit eating grin I could see my love laying in the next room Oh what a beautiful sight!
9.
I call you friend You spit in my face You call me names Say I'm a disgrace What'd I ever do to you? Nothing! You're a fucking tool You spread hate and lies and gossip Nothing nice to say You're just talking shit But I feel bad for you Cuz you're a fucking tool!!
10.
Anxiety 02:27
I've always been considered a little socially akward A little bent and broken in the brain Some would blame my upbringing Other blame me saying I'm just lazy That there is nothing wrong with me But I know the truth And i know others do too Because I'm not the only one built this way There 3.3 million of us Or in other terms 1.5 percent of Americans who are trying just to survive today Wishing we could hide away Or just find a way to accept the pain The sweaty palms that just wont dissipate The threat of doom and all the fear The throbbing heart the ringing ears That keep us in the grip of our own shame I'm not asking for special consideration Nor trying to point fingers in indignation I'm just making note that sometimes you cant tell whats bothering folks A little patience and concern goes a long way.
